The weekend of 14th - 16th October 2005 was our first major HF Club Event for many years, with the catalyst being the JOTA weekend. Previously, it had only been run by individual members from various Scouting locations around the Wirral area.
It's success has forged the return of a big annual HF weekend for Club members with Scouts, Cubs and Guides from many local Groups invited to participate with us over the weekend. In 2015 we returned to and operated from our WADARC Radio Club HQ at Irby Cricket Club and it proved to be an excellent weekend .. read the report below.
Our HF station comprises a 3 element tri-band beam for 20, 15 and 10 metres at 40ft, with an inverted dipole for 40/80m for inter UK/EU traffic. We also ran a small VHF station including PSK depending on support.
